Inspiration!

I was lucky enough to spend last week in sunny Florida with my amazing family. We go to a little place that overlooks the bay and is steps away from the beach. This is the third year we have returned, and it is beginning to feel like a home away from home. Life feels simple and limitless when the biggest decisions are: beach or pool? seafood or burgers? My parents are the ones that make this happen each year, and we are so grateful. The kids get to spend pure quality time with their out-of-town grandparents and we all get a chance to relax and reset. It is just the best.

The reason I am writing about this on the Charming Home blog is because of the inspiration I get from this trip each year. Not only do I feel personally recharged, but professionally too. The (drastic) change of scenery and costal style always get my creativity flowing and motivate me to pour more energy into my business. I think the elements (raw woods, comfortable fabrics, natural fiber rugs, antique glass, I could go on and on) that you see everywhere in beach towns are universally inviting. Especially as we move into spring and summer, I love using these materials in staged homes to really draw people in and add a timeless character that potential buyers can connect to.

I wish I had a few more photos to really capture the essence of the trip, but I was way too busy having fun with my family. I will take that problem any day!
